Checks given as donations or sponsorships should be made out to Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven with Raise the Roof in the memo line (as well as a note somewhere if it is being given in support of a dance couple) and mailed to Raise the Roof, PO Box 916, Madison, CT 06443. Sometimes—when a gift is part of a corporate match program, coming from a donor’s charitable giving fund, etc.—the requirements are that the check be mailed to the 501 (c ) (3), or Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven, in this case. Let us know at Raise the Roof, and we will track the check for you so that we will be able to input the amount manually into your fundraising page once New Haven has received.
